The Other day I had an Conversation with someone about Fashion. I am not sure if many of you know but I used to work in Top shop in Oxford Circus. So I thought I woulds share with you some of the trend that might look good for the Summer of 2012.  First of all I am really pleased to say that there seems to be a little colour back into the high street this season. This must be because of the bad weather that people want to wear bold and primary colours. Although I am not sure about the hat in the lower picture. Am I old fashioned enough to say that hats and woolen hats should be winter wear and not summer wear. Fresh and clean colours are in this year.   Good but loose the hat. The black and grey days are over and we can see that these are both stylish from the ladies but also a Casual look from the lads. To be a servant

There is a certain kind of Religion that can be really quite off putting. They are the people like these: They go around telling others how they should pray and how they should act. They are their own definition better than anyone else. They are hard to negotiate with and never listen to another persons views for they are right. Laying heavy burdens on others they do not do the same themselves. In the annuals of history they are instantly forgotten.  Real authentic religion is when people are authentic when we can see that what they preach they practice these people are attractive and remember them by the example that they give. There was a beautiful moment a few days after Francis was elected Pope. He asked to go and visit the place where he stayed before the Conclave. A small Hostel with simple rooms on the Via della Scoffa. A place where I have stayed myself when I have been to Rome. 32nd Sunday of the Year A

THE END IS NIGH. But there is so many things that I want to do. Give me a little time:  The Cats still in the garden. I have not finished the washing. Can’t it wait until there is a little more time to have a think about it? Maybe tomorrow when I am not so busy?  And yet maybe the questions we need to ask are:  Am I ready? Have I done everything that I can? Am I ready to meet Jesus? Is my Soul really longing and thirsting for the God of my life.   The Gospel shows us that sometimes we are not ready to meet the Lord. We are like the foolish bridesmaids who when asked are not ready at all because they were not prepared the story tells us that they had gone out to buy oil for their lamps: and so missed out. It is suggested that we are like the wise bridesmaids who were ready for the bridegroom when he came. So how do we do this? How do we get ready? Well the readings give us a very good clue. The psalmist prays and acknowledges that he is waiting and yearning for God. ...
